Enjoy Chalk it up Hanover

The 2nd annual Chalk it up Hanover will take place in downtown Hanover on May 12 from 10 am-4 pm. The theme of this year’s event is “Spring is a bloomin’”. Those who take part in the sidewalk chalk drawing contest will be judged and awarded monetary prizes.

There are several categories in the contest: 5 and under, 6-9, 10-13, 14-high school senior, adult and family group. Squares are assigned randomly and each square is limited to five artists. The topic of the drawing must be family friendly.

There is nothing in the rules that says companies cannot compete in the competition. Taking part in Chalk it Up Hanover would be an excellent team-building exercise for a company. The entire company can decide on a drawing and choose the five best people to execute it on the day of competition. There are also no rules that say a logo or company name cannot be drawn in the square. It can even be used to raise money for charity; Hanover printing companies can provide flyer printing services to the company to help them spread the word of this event. The flyer can ask those who receive it to sponsor specific people with proceeds going to a local charity. That will not only allow people to help those less fortunate in the community, it will also make the company look good and show that they care about those who might do business with them. Plus, it is a great way for co-workers to spend a Saturday with those they only see at the office each day.
