As part of a major health initiative, Tohickon Middle School in Doylestown is having a health fair this evening. Packed with activities, the fair is targeted towards parents and members of the community. The event will include informational sessions, aimed specifically at parents, and 12 interactive stations set up in the school’s gym.

The event is organized with the support of the Whole Kids Foundation, Mid Atlantic Dairy Council, Fuel Up to Play 60, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and Kids Gardening. To detail the activities and sessions held during the health fair, the organizing team could use such local service providers as brochure printers.

Informational sessions during the health fair will include ‘Old Wives Tales in Pediatrics’, led by Dr. Sharon Jellinek, and ‘10 Things Your Pediatrician Wants You to Know’, conducted by Dr. Marion Mass.

Other sessions focus on adolescents, such as ‘Best Practices in Conditioning the Adolescent Athlete’, hosted by Todd Wiley, and ‘Keeping Your Adolescent Emotionally Healthy’, led by BJ Sellman. All sessions will take place from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and again from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The 12 interactive stations in the gym will include stations at which to make your own trail mix, and try out yoga. The health fair starts at 6:30 pm and goes until 8:30 pm.
