Learn how to grow your non-profit

The Non-profit Conference will take place at the Beattie Career Center on April 24 from 8 am-3 pm. It is a presentation of the Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Tickets are $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members.

The Non-profit Conference is a chance to

“network, educate yourself and grow your organization.”

The ticket price includes breakfast and lunch, several seminars and the chance to win a $500 grant. The keynote speaker for the event is Leslie Osche of the United Way of Butler County.

The seminars, or general sessions, will feature discussions under the topics of renewing strategic partnerships, replenishing revenue in alternative ways and refining your image using social networking. Several other sessions will cover board governance and non-profit staffing.

The event will also be a chance for business leaders throughout the area, including Cranberry Township to discover the business of their peers. Chamber of Commerce, Inc. members can rent a tradeshow table for $50, which is a very small investment in their company’s future. This will give them the chance to show their fellow members and guests just what products and/or services they have to offer. Local printing companies can help by providing brochures and flyers that describe in detail just what the business is all about. A business card printing order submitted in advance of such an event will also ensure that there are enough cards to give to everyone they meet. Those who are not able to rent a table should also make sure they have an adequate supply of business cards.
