February 26, 2012 by Sarah
The 2012 Red Ball will take place at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia on March 10 from 8 pm-12 am. Tickets are $185 or $285 for VIP access. Proceeds will go towards the Red Cross House and Center for Disaster Recovery; the goal this year is to raise $300,000.
Guests attending the event will get to sample the food of 40 local restaurants and caterers and vote for which one will win the Red Ball Restaurant Competition. In addition there will be live music from such performers as the CTO Band, dancing, a silent auction, raffles, tarot readings, a photo booth and live painting by Funtown Productions. The museum will also be open during the event so guests can play with the exhibits. The VIP lounge will feature food from Max and Me Catering and will have an open bar.
There are sponsorships also available for the event from $1000 to $25,000. Sponsors will receive recognition at the event, on the website and will be mentioned in all press materials. Local companies, including those from nearby Broomall are also welcomed to donate items for the silent auction. Printing companies have no doubt been working with the organizers on providing the necessary printed materials for this event such as invitations.
The Red Cross House and Center for Disaster Relief is located in West Philadelphia, it is “intended to provide shelter to individuals or families temporarily or permanently displaced as a direct result of a disaster.”
