Art nonprofit to bring temporary job boost

May 11, 2017 by

ArtQuest, which is located in Bethlehem, is looking to hire about 300 seasonal employees this year.

The organization is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit that provides educational, culture, and art programs to the community.

The organization’s recent announcement will be welcome news for students, teachers, and others looking for temporary summer employment. Positions will need to be filled to support the various summer events the organization has planned. Schools and organizations could help support the need for the seasonal jobs by posting flyers notifying residents of the
opportunities.

A majority of the positions will be for the Annual Musikfest, which is a Sabor Latin Festival that will be held this year from August 4 to 13. Applicants should be aware some of the Musikfest positions will only last a couple weeks, while other positions will go through the summer. Available positions include retail assistants, parking lot attendants, and operations assistants. Summer camp supervisors and assistant positions are also available at the Banana Factory Arts Center. About 70 positions will be needed for event services.

ArtQuest is looking for applicants experienced in customer service positions. Many of the jobs will be outdoors so applicants need to be aware they may need to work in varying weather conditions.

A full list of positions can be found on the ArtQuest website. Those seeking employment must be 18 years old and can submit their résumé and cover letter online as well.
