Do some last-minute shopping at the Christmas Shoppe

December 13, 2011 by

The Center for Creative Arts Expression is presenting the Christmas Shoppe until December 21. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Thursday from 3-6 pm and Saturday from 11 am-4 pm.

The Christmas Shoppe features one-of-a-kind gifts created by local Beaver Falls’s artists and craft makers. All those who were interested applied to exhibit and sell at the Christmas Shoppe. Judging from the classes given at the Center for Creative Arts Expression, items offered for sale will be such things as pottery, paintings, knitted items and mosaics. Your friends and family will be very pleased to receive a unique, handmade gift this year, and will be thrilled it came from a local artisan. You also might find something to decorate your own home.

The Center for Creative Arts Expression offers classes for children and adults. Membership costs $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $8 for children under 18 and $40 for a family of 3. They also offer corporate memberships for $500. Membership allows for the use of any of the buildings rooms and equipment not in use and access to the Art Resource Library.

The Center offers facilities for birthday parties and rental space in the clay studio. A scrap-booking group also meets at the Center on the last Saturday of each month and the Center offers discounts on scrap-book supplies such as paper and stationery. Printing firms often create specialized stationery that can be used to perk up a scrap-book page. If you have always wanted to learn how to scrap-book this is the place to do it.
