New Bank Comes to Bala Cynwyd

Banking will soon get a little more convenient for people living and working in Bala Cynwyd.

On Thursday, May 31, a spokesperson for Bryn Mawr Trust announced plans to open a new location in the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center by the end of the year. The local bank chain’s current branch closest to Bala Cynwyd is located in Ardmore.

The shopping center is located on City Avenue. It is also home to an Acme supermarket and a Lord and Taylor department store. The new branch space is 4,000 square feet, plenty of room for the amenities a bank branch offers. Customers can expect a drive-up teller window and an ATM on site.

News of the bank’s new branch comes hot on the heels of another set of stores opening in the same shopping center. The new group of stores features a Corner Bakery store and two others. It opened on June 6.

Once the bank starts hiring tellers and others in finance to work at its new branch, it may need to consider printing services. Digital business cards will allow branch managers and tellers to give their contact information to customers new and old. Flyers and postcards can alert potential new customers of the branch’s opening.

Bryn Mawr Trust was founded in 1889. The bank offers personal and business accounts as well as wealth management services. Customers may also apply for a personal loan, mortgage or line of credit through the bank. The bank has 17 branches in Pennsylvania.
