Relay For Life begins this Friday

Residents of Westbury have at least two interesting events coming up towards the end of June in the Farmers’ Market and Nassau County’s Relay for Life fundraiser.
Whether an individual is looking to save some money or is simply interested in purchasing locally-grown food, there’s going to be a Farmers’ Market event this Wednesday, on June 27. Following the same format as the other markets, this upcoming market will begin at 7:00 am and go until 1:00 pm. Having started up fairly recently on May 30, sellers and buyers are just getting warmed up, with the market expected to close on November 21. Being held in Roslyn-North Hills at Christopher Morley Park, the list of food items available for sale is extensive.
According to Patch.com, buyers can expect to see spices, honey, coffee, flowers, salad, home-made soup, chutney, vegetables, bread, salt, fruit, seafood, sauces, jams, jellies, dairy products, and even home-made soaps and oils among other goods available for sale. Those who can make it are in for a treat.
Meanwhile, brochure printers have probably long been involved with the promotion of this year’s Relay For Life Nassau County fundraiser. Slated to take place this Friday, June 29, residents have plenty of reasons to get involved with this one. As an event organized with the intention of raising money for cancer research and the finding of an eventual cure, there is no question that this is an excellent cause to get behind. Registration is still available online for those who are interested.
