Mystery dinner theater returns to Westbury
January 14, 2014 by Max
Fans of mystery, dinner, and theater in Westbury will have the chance to enjoy all three at once when the Killing Company, a comedy troupe, returns with a new show.
The company will present ‘Murder At The Oscars’ at Dilettos later this week, which will be based on the real-life Oscar nominations announced the day before the performance. Diletto’s can use poster printing to promote the show and sell tickets in advance.
During the show, actors will be sitting with the regular paying audience, completely blending in and enjoying the family-style dinner. The Killing Kompany is known for being interactive and for audience participation. Audience members seated near the actors in disguise can be pulled into the performance at any time.
The actors can make any member of the audience a potential suspect throughout the performance. Audience members also have the chance to help solve the mystery, leading to a prize for the person who cracks the case. Along with the show and meal, the evening will include dancing. No advance preparation is necessary.
The Killing Kompany has been entertaining audiences across the country at restaurants, hotels, and casinos for 20 years. Performers with the troupe have been on Broadway and other stages, on TV, and in films.
Tickets for the mystery dinner theater are $65. The show starts at 8:00 pm this Friday, January 17, and doors open at 7:30 pm. Customers can buy tickets by calling Dilleto’s at (516) 877-7744 or stopping by in person at 1500 Jericho Turnpike.
