Art and magic come to Westbury

January 9, 2013 by

Living in Westbury and the surrounding areas means having easy access to all the arts and culture that Manhattan offers, but Long Island also offers its residents a chance to take in art and to be entertained – without the need to take a train trip.

At the end of January, ‘Masters of Illusion – Live!’ will come to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury. The Masters of Illusion show will feature over half a dozen illusionists, including quick change artists and escape artists who will take to the stage during the two-hour spectacular event. The show will also feature dancers and wild animals. It is open to all ages, but everyone who attends needs a ticket.

Masters of Illusion is not the only event to come to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury during January. This weekend, families can enjoy a performance of ‘The Little Prince’, based on the classic French tale. Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo will play a concert to raise money for Sandy relief efforts on January 25. A Westbury printing company could help the theater advertise by producing flyers and posters for the events.

Tickets for Masters of Illusion range in price from $19.50 to $69.50. The show takes place in the afternoon at 3:00 pm. The Little Prince is at 1:00 pm this Sunday, January 13, with tickets costing between $29.50 and $39.50. Lastly, tickets for Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo are $49.50 and the concert begins at 8:00 pm. Tickets to all events are available in person at the theatre’s box office or online.
