Baldwin entrepreneurs and professionals interested in meeting like-minded individuals may want to consider going to the next New York City Business Book Club meeting on the 22nd.
Going by the title “Awesomely Simple: Essential Business Strategies for Turning Ideas Into Action”, this upcoming event is one that’s sure to benefit all who are present. Written by author John Spence, business owners and other prospective attendees are given a short introduction to his accomplishments on the site:
“John Spence reads over 100 business books a year and has distilled the key strategies for success into one book. Sections include: Vivid Vision, Best People, A Performance-Orientated Culture, Robust Communication, A Sense of Urgency, and Extreme Customer Focus. Regardless of what type of business you have, the principles of this book will help you. I’m a personal fan of John Spence and use his techniques in my management practice.” (sic.)
In light of the fact that this group discussion has a scheduled start time of 6:30 pm, business owners can rest assured that these meetings have been planned with their needs in mind. What sets the New York City Business Book Club apart from other meet-up groups is the fact that it isn’t necessary to read the book in order to be a part of the conversation. There are video presentations and information provided ahead of time for those who were unable to do the readings.
With the evening being kicked off by short 30 second group introductions, however, business card printing is an item worth stocking up on before arrival.
