New York radio station found the last man standing

Popular New York radio station Hot 97 recently hosted a contest to discover the ‘Last Man Standing’.

The contest commenced on August 31 at the new Hyundai car dealership in Valley Stream. As the prize was a brand new car, lots of people spent the night outside the dealership to be in with a chance of being selected to take part. Although large numbers of people turned up for a chance in the competition, only a select few were chosen. The contest at South Shore Hyundai dealership eventually started.

Each person had to stand with their hand on a car, without taking it off the vehicle at any time. Although this may sound easy, high temperatures and a blazing sun were making the conditions tough for contestants. In addition, some of the personalities from Hot 97 and DJ Camilo were on hand to challenge the contestants. Activities were issued to the people taking part, like standing on one leg or doing toe touches while being stood up straight. The entertainment and challenges carried on for more than 24 hours until the winner was eventually announced following 30 hours stood at his car. The victor, Morgan Sorrentino, won the two-year car lease and gift cards with a value of $1,000.

The contest also proved to be beneficial for schools, as school supplies were donated and given to the school of Morgan’s choice. Although the event will have created a lot of publicity for the car dealership, marketing also involves the local brochure printers that produce relevant materials.
