5k Pitch Challenge gives entrepreneurs a platform

Whether to participate or to watch other entrepreneurs, Baldwin professionals have the option of going to the Invisiwig Salon to be a part of the “5k Pitch Challenge” on April 2nd.

No matter what stage a company is in, funding is an issue that never truly goes away. As most business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can attest, even the best of ideas require a certain amount of upfront investment. If not for production, then money will be needed for advertising purposes even if the company’s starting off with relatively low-cost techniques like flyer printing and poster printing.

Although banks and credit unions are an excellent start, independent investors are another way of acquiring funds. Regardless of the industry a would-be business owner is looking to break into, the “5k Pitch Challenge” is giving individuals a platform where they can make their pitches and hopefully be awarded with the grand prize.

Taking place in the evening at a time of 6:30 pm, local professionals will have some leeway in terms of getting ready. With tickets going at a mere $15 per person, business owners can’t go wrong stopping by if for nothing else than to hear how these other individuals are making their pitches.

Another event to watch for in April is the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce meeting on the 17th of April. Taking place at Baldwin Lanes and coming at a price of $13 in accordance with the cost of lunch, this is a great chance to get involved with other members of the local business community.
