Syosset residents jump for joy at new gym

Syosset welcomed a new gym to town last weekend. ‘Bounce!’ held its grand opening on Sept 7 and 8, with a fundraiser to support the Nassau County Firefighter Burn Center Fund and the Nassau County Detectives’ Charitable Foundation.
Bounce! is not like most other gyms, because it is dedicated to trampolines and offers classes on them for a range of ability levels and ages. It will also offer trampoline-based sports, such as slam dunk basketball, and dodgeball. Fitness classes will include Bounce! boot camp and trampoline aerobics. For people who do not want to take a class, the center will also offer open jump sessions.
Bounce! could use flyer printing to advertise its opening and the classes and services it offers. The trampoline center also has private rooms that can be rented out for birthday parties and other events. It also offers team-building activities for businesses or organizations.
The grand opening celebration collected donations for two Nassau County organizations. The Burn Center treats about 200 inpatient burn victims each year and around 1,000 outpatient burn victims, the majority of whom are children. The Detective’s Charitable Foundation offers financial assistance to detectives who are terminally ill or who have a permanent disability.
Bounce! is open seven days a week. Until October, hours will be Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The trampoline gym will be open Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Open jump rates start at $11 per hour.
