Senator John Flanagan speaking at monthly meeting
June 22, 2012 by Sarah
Members of the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce will be able to close out the month strongly with the Monthly Meeting taking place this Thursday, June 28.
At 12:00 pm on Thursday, Smithtown’s business community will be coming together and enjoying a good meal as part of the chamber’s regular monthly meeting. Scheduled conveniently to better accommodate the needs of busy professionals, this one already looks to be yet another not-to-be-missed event. Besides the opportunity to put that new supply of business card printing to use while conversing with other professionals, this meet-up also represents a chance to soak in valuable information as it presented by various guest speakers. Once again the chamber has not disappointed on this front with advertisements stating that this month’s guest speaker will be Senator John Flanagan.
In many respects, the senator started off his political career by following in the footsteps of his father as a member of the State Assembly. Having first been elected to State Senate in 2002, Senator Flanagan is regarded by some to have shown a remarkable commitment to the public’s best interests over the years. Possessing degrees in both Law and Economics, his perspective on budget reform is also sure to be well-supported and insightful. Put simply, the senator’s presentation is sure to give local professionals plenty to think about.
Taking place at Casa Rustica and priced at $20 per member, the advantages of being present at this event are very clear. Since seating is limited, however, interested individuals will have to register soon.
