Heartwarming tale to get Smithtown reception

December 23, 2013 by

Starting tonight, Annie Jr. will be taking to the stage in one of the country’s most beloved musicals. No doubt a variety of printing services will be called upon over the holiday period to spread the word about this popular musical to people in this community, as well as those in the surrounding areas.

Taking place live at the Children’s Musical Theatre, the audience will see little orphan Annie, with her charming ringlets and plenty of vigor, charm everyone’s heart over this festive period.

The setting is New York City back in the 1930s, when a determined and relentless little girl tries to find her long lost parents who had left her on an orphanage’s doorstep. The orphanage is run by the very cruel and bitter Miss Hannigan, who goes out of her way to make all the children’s lives miserable, only to be outwitted as she watches Annie move onto better things. This charming musical has many great numbers and will endear the audience to the plucky little gal who makes the magic happen.

Tickets for this performance cost $15 per person. Annie Jr. will be appearing as of today, December 23 at the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts located at 2 East Main Street in Smithtown, New York. Performances always start at 2:00 pm and continue until January 27, with a full breakdown of dates available to view on the Center’s website. Alternatively, tickets can be booked and information can be gleaned by calling the venue at 631-724-3700.
