Local bridal shop dresses up for the weekend
March 4, 2014 by Max
Soon-to-be-brides who are still looking for dresses should find some time between this coming Thursday and Saturday, during which time Angela’s Bridal will be hosting a trunk show featuring gowns from the Jim Hjelm Occasions collection.
Brides-to-be and their maids of honor will have the opportunity to see different dresses and gowns, and to try them on as well. Representatives from the designers may be present as well to offer their own insights and help with advice or alterations.
Angela’s Bridal is one of the premier bridal shops in the Albany area and has serviced the city, and surrounding towns like Schenectady, for more than 20 years. It is run by Janet Cooper who has an MFA in gown design from Penn State University. She was also the head of wardrobe for the English National Opera.
Organizers for this event may turn to printing companies to help them with advertising. Distributing printed flyers or posters in the right places could alert people to the event. If the store has a mailing list, it might also send postcards to the people who are on it to remind them that this trunk show is taking place.
The trunk show begins on Thursday, March 6, and runs through Saturday, March 8. Each day, the store will be open from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm and appointments can be made during that time.
