RVC restaurants join in with LI restaurant week

The second running of the event, it allows folks living in and visiting all areas of Long Island, and further afield, the opportunity to enjoy a full three-course dinner or late lunch for less than $28 per person. As well as giving diners a great deal, it is also a great way for local businesses to raise their profile.
In addition to locally appointed posters and other media, advertisements promoting the event are running in local newspapers. Media coverage will also see reports appearing on local TV stations.
With clever marketing, professional flyer printing, and the introduction of other offers, these businesses can really ‘steak’ a claim for repeat custom too.
Restaurants in RVC that have confirmed their participation in this year’s event include Aperitif Bistro, Chadwick’s at the Station, Dodici, and Grillfire- RVC.
New York State, as well as the individual restaurants, will be hoping this year’s event will be just as successful as last year’s. The 2012 event saw nearly a $5.5m revenue pot raised, amounting to just short of $300,000 in tax for the state.
With more than 140,000 meals served in the time frame, the economies on a local and state-wide basis were boosted. With confidence returning to the economy, public spending increasing, and the betterment of the weather, greater success will be hoped for this late spring and early summer.
Restaurant week began last Sunday, April 28, and continues through this Sunday, May 5.
