Rockville Centre gets ready for Fourth of July blitz

July 2, 2013 by

With the annual Fourth of July celebrations just days away now, Rockville Centre folks are getting themselves ready. From getting their costumes in order to arranging the face paints, homes all across the area will be getting ready.

The town itself is getting ready too, with a host of firework celebrations taking place in the area.

The closest firework display to RVC does not take place until a good week later though, as the Mill River Park puts on its Grucci Fireworks display. Taking place on July 13 from 6:00 pm, there will be a great deal of fun to be had.

Poster printing and advertising for the events says there will be food and music, before the world renowned Grucci display takes to the skies at 9:15 pm. Performing just before, The South Shore Symphony will take to the stage at 7:45 pm.

For those RVC folks looking to get into the Independence Spirit on the day, there are two great local displays.

Taking place at The Seawane Club at 8:00 pm, members can look forward to fireworks through the night – but only after the sun has completely gone down.

There is also a great display taking place at the Firemen’s Memorial Field in Valley Stream. With an 8:00 pm start, there is a ground show, while the aerial display gets under way at 9:15 pm. A ticketed only event, guests can start arriving any time from 6:00 pm.

With local shows also taking place well after July 4, the local area is clearly going to be lit up for some time.
