Once again covering a wide variety of relevant seminar topics this month, the Rochester Business Alliance has outdone itself with “Employee Rights and Discipline” and “Top 10 FMLA Mistakes and How to Avoid Them” respectively.

According to the Rochester Business Alliance’s website, the “Employee Rights and Discipline” course taking place February 27th is going to cover:

“Performance management and appraisal, dispute resolution, maintaining morale, team building, the disciplinary process, termination, content and use of an employee handbook”

Expected to take up most of the day with a starting time of 1:00 pm and a conclusion of 5:00 pm, this course is going to be interesting and in-depth as it deals with a subject that’s relevant to all industries.

Just two days later on the 29th, Harris Beach, PLLC will be presenting “Top 10 FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) Mistakes and How to Avoid Them”. This course has been summed up this way:

“Avoid the top 10 FMLA mistakes that employers routinely make and learn the solutions to avoid these costly mistakes. Protect your company against FMLA violations by ensuring that you have a well-drafted and legally compliant FMLA policy setting forth both the employer’s and employee’s rights under this very technical law.”

Both events will cost $125 for members and $165 for non-members. In any case these presentations are sure to be well worth the entrance fee. Although these aren’t networking events per say, it never hurts to arrive with a bit of business card printing in tow.

With online registration available, company decision-makers can register at their convenience.
