RBA keeps members busy in August

As is typically the case, the Rochester Business Alliance has once again put together a schedule that speaks to business owners and professionals in a broad range of fields. With a Microsoft Excel workshop, a Microsoft Access Introduction, the next stop of the ‘Meet the Top 100’ tour, and ‘ConnectforLunch’ coming up, the Alliance is ending August on a high note.

For professionals with an interest in learning more about using Microsoft Office, things get off to an interesting start on August 27 with ‘Microsoft Excel Formulas’ being presented by Accent training. Beginning shortly after lunch at 1:00 pm, this three hour workshop is going to be providing attendees with all the information needed to make the most of Excel.

Keeping with the theme of Microsoft Office, Accent Training will be following things up with a ‘Microsoft Access Introduction’ on August 28 and 30. Starting at 8:15 am and wrapping up at around 11:15 am both times, these sessions will cover such topics as creating queries, filtering and importing data, and starting databases, among other things.

Interestingly enough, things continue August 29 with the ‘Meet the Top 100’ tour. This upcoming event is going to focus primarily on Rochester Optical. Unique in that it has been in business since 1932, Rochester Optical is definitely an event to note. Free to attend and member-exclusive, it is not surprising that this event is full.

Finally, local professionals may want to consider getting their business card printing ready ahead of ‘ConnectForLunch’ on August 30. Starting at noon and wrapping up an hour later, this networking meet-up is another one to remember.
