An eventful Sunday ends September in Riverhead

There will be several exciting events happening in Riverhead on September 30, with something to appeal to everyone in the family.

The Long Island Garlic Festival will take place at the Garden of Eve Farm from September 29 – 30 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm each day. Children aged six and under are admitted free, while adults pay £3. The festival will feature cooking demonstrations, a garlic-eating contest, commercial vendors, arts and crafts vendors, an Iron Chef garlic competition, garlic bingo, and sustainability information. For more information on this event, call 631-722-8777.

An antique car show will also take place on September 30 at Hallockville Farm from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The show is a presentation of the Antique Automobile Club of America. It will feature a display of automobiles and trucks which are 25 years and older. Call 631-298-5292 to find out more here.

Since Halloween is coming up again, the Darkside Haunted House and Haunted Village in nearby Wading River is now open. Hours of operation on September 30 are 1:00 pm – 11:00 PM. It will be a good way to get the family into the Halloween mood, with admission priced at $17.

The organizers of these various events have no doubt been working with Riverhead printing companies to prepare. Vendors taking part in the Garlic Festival will probably be looking for banner printing and sign printing services. The antique car show and the Darkside Haunted House and Village, meanwhile, might well be distributing flyers throughout the community about their events.
