May 11, 2012 by

Celebrating its 22nd year in Port Washington, Harborfest will take place on June 3rd at the Town Dock on the lower main street from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce is the organization featuring the event.

The Harborcrest Craft Fair is one of the main attractions. Typically over 10,000 people attend this event where approximately 100 vendors will have booths to display their various handmade crafts. These will include clothing, wood and metal art, jewelry, scented soaps, ceramics, art, and floral arrangements along with other unique handicrafts. Upon applying for a booth, the vendor is required to fill out a form and send pictures of the products intended to sell at the event to ensure they are handmade, as this is a requirement to participate. Jewelry vendors are limited to the first 35 to register.

Print companies are involved in providing printing services including banner, poster, brochure, and flyer printing. Many of the vendors and participating attendees are likely to be utilizing business card printing sources as well.

Several community organizations attend and have a presence at this event. In addition to the craft booths, other events will take place during the day such as children’s activities including stagecoach rides, boat cruises, and a fun park area. A food court will be available throughout the event. An “Enviro-Expo” is scheduled to display and musical entertainment will take place throughout the day.
