Port Jefferson’s regatta fundraiser coming soon

The Village of Port Jefferson Station in New York, Port Jefferson Conservancy, Lustgarten Foundation, and the Setauket Yacht Club launched the Village Cup Regatta last year for the purpose of raising money to help in the fight against pancreatic cancer. The event includes village employees competing against doctors and staff from Mather Hospital.

Competitive yet friendly, the fundraiser will be officiated by the Setauket Yacht Club. Members have volunteered to be captains and first mates in addition to donating boats and ‘know how’.

This year, a reception will be hosted by the Conservancy at Village Center to recognize and honor the two teams and volunteers. It is the perfect setting for networking and sharing stories of nautical experience while enjoying the food and refreshments.

Mather won by a narrow margin of just four points last year, battling high seas and raging winds. The coveted cup is awaiting this year’s winners.

Events of this nature frequently use printing services to market the event and raise awareness, as well as increasing participation. Poster printing is a common order, as posters can be affordably distributed and displayed across a large region. Customarily printed in full color on one side with a glossy finish on heavy stock paper, posters can be placed in windows, on doors, on pillars, and almost any flat surface. The idea is to have interesting graphics and text to catch the eye of the passerby quickly.

This year’s event will take place on September 7. More information about the Village Cup Regatta in Port Jefferson can be found on the event website.
