Date for a Cause helps local charities with red hot auction

At the end of next week, it will be time for some of the hottest men and women in the state to get ready and be part of a series of auctions featuring bachelors and bachelorettes.

Well-known local celebrities from New York and surrounding areas, including Port Jefferson Station , will participate in the fundraiser. Others up for auction include models and business professionals from across the region.

Three PR groups from the area have partnered together to help raise money for local charities through the auctions. Those with the winning bids will have the opportunity for a fun date with the bachelor or bachelorette of their choices to some of the coolest spots in the area.

The first auction kicks off at EVR in New York City and will include a full agenda of men and women participating in the auction. Also included will be a three-hour cocktail reception and open bar. Attendees from across many communities and neighborhoods in the area are expected to be there.

Quite often, local printing companies are involved in producing the merchandising materials for charity events. Poster and flyer printing are common requests, as posters can be hung throughout the city and nearby communities and flyers can be distributed from many outlets.

Many sponsoring restaurants have contributed towards the date nights. The date and time will be agreed upon between the winning bidder and the bachelorette or bachelor. The bidding will start at $50.00.

The date, pardon the pun, is Friday, March 8, and tickets are on sale through the event website as well as other online ticket entities.
