The Lunch Box Group to meet January 19th

Less than 30 miles away from Patchogue, ‘The Lunch Box Group’ will be having lunch at Melville’s Happy Times Café.

With an advertisement tagline like:

“bring plenty of business cards”, professionals and business owners can rest assured that there will be plenty of time for networking as well as some interesting discussions.

According to this site, The Lunch Box Group is “…a group of local business owners, managers and employees who get together every other Thursday for a very informal but informative meeting over lunch (sic.)”.

The advantages of attending these events were listed off in a convenient list format:

• “You get to meet other business minded people who have the same day to day problems as you

• You get to meet other business owners who may wish to do business with you through building good relationships

• You could get business recommendations as people get to know you and the service or product you provide”

Even though this group has taken the rather common one industry per professional rule, what’s interesting is that this rule isn’t set in stone. As long as members can agree to co-exist, attendance will be allowed.

While business card printing is undoubtedly encouraged, these lunches are ultimately about relationships. This upcoming meeting will be taking place at 12:15 pm on the 19th. Priced very reasonably at $12.00 a head, this is a group people can afford to attend. For Patchogue entrepreneurs, The Lunch Box Group could be a viable networking solution.
