Patchogue Lions Club sponsors 2012 Fourth of July Parade
May 11, 2012 by Mark
The annual Fourth of July parade held in Patchogue will be a main attraction again this year. The parade starts at 10:30 am on Main Street. The judges will be in place for the lineup of parade contestants at 9:30 am.
This year’s theme is based on welcoming home our US veterans and giving them a warm and appreciative salute. With the need for printing services for this city event, local print companies will be working with the parade organizers and businesses in providing banner and flyer printing along with other print materials.
Serving the community of Patchogue for over 60 years, the Lions Club members include community leaders, residents, business owners and retired people. The main goal of the Lions worldwide is to prevent and fight blindness, although they do support and fund many other charities and efforts in addition to this. Information about the Lions Club Patchogue and Lions International can be found on their websites.
The Fourth of July evening celebrations include the Choral Festival, held at the Brookhaven amphitheatre. The festival begins at 7:30 pm and admission is free.
The annual Go Fourth on the Bay fireworks show will be presented by the Gruccis of New York and promises to be a spectacular event. This display will take place along the Great South Bay at the Bayshore Marina. Full details of the fireworks show will be released on the Grucci webiste on May 18th, 2012.
