Folky weekend ahead in Patchogue

March 22, 2013 by

The ‘Patchogue Folk Festival’ is now celebrating its fourth year, marking the achievement with an outstanding lineup of entertainment.

This is a great family event with entertainment in the lobby area, as well as on the main stage. There is something for people of all ages, and poster printing and flyer printing may have been the chosen methods for promoting this wonderful folk event.

As in past years, the 2013 event will feature a free concert in the lobby for all, with this year’s offerings being Eddie Ayala, Rough Folk, Karl Blessing, Steve Mall, Cassandra House, Leah Kay, and Travis McKeveny. Appearing on the main stage is The Kingston Trio, which has been entertaining for more than 55 years; The Claudia Jacobs Band, featuring some rocking vocals over a sassy and bluesy sound; and Gathering Time, which is always a favorite of Long Island residents.

Main stage performances begin at 8:00 pm, while all lobby performances begin at 2:00 pm. For anybody who enjoys great blues, folk, and entertainers, this is the festival to attend.

There is no charge for performances in the lobby, although tickets range from $15 to $45 per person for performances on the main stage. The Patchogue Folk Festival will be held tomorrow, March 23, at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in Patchogue, New York. To purchase tickets or find out more about the performance schedule, please visit the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts website or call the box office at 631-207-1313 during business hours.
