NY lights the way to holiday season

November 26, 2013 by

Getting underway this weekend, the Holiday Spectacle of Lights is a fundraising event allowing the entire family to come out and enjoy some holiday celebration. Poster printing, flyer printing, and other printing services may have been used to promote this holiday event to people in the area.

The fundraiser is sponsored by the Irodequoit Kiwanis Club and the Irodequoit American Legion Post 134 and features a long lineup of activities and entertainment over its three-week duration. No in its second year, its opening is very much the kick-off of the holiday festivities in the community. No doubt the talking point of the opening night will be the arrival of holiday lights, but there are many special activities planned that the entire family can enjoy.

Attendees will be able to enjoy hot cocoa, tasty treats, and some holiday surprise activities and entertainment. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Golisan Children’s Hospital, which is all the more reason to get into the spirit and enjoy the many twinkling trees that signal the start of the festive season.

Admission costs $10 per car, and it all gets started this Friday, November 29, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and then continue each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening, excluding December 8 and 15. The place to be is Camp Eastman located on Lakeshore Blvd in Irodequoit, New York, just a short hop from Rochester. To learn more about this event, please visit the Iredequoit Facebook page or call the Irondequoit Department of Parks and Recreation at 585-336-6070.
