New Rochelle offering a range of family days

September 13, 2012 by

The New Rochelle Business Improvement District (BID) Family Fun Days involves several events which take place at various times during the year. September and October will see several family-friendly events which fall under Family Fun Days.

New Rochelle printing companies are no doubt asked to help organizers prepare for and advertise the latest BID Family Fun Day activities. Banners hung in the downtown area could let the community know about the upcoming events, while flyers mailed out to residents would be sure to get them excited about those events.

On September 22, also as part of the Arts Fest which takes place from September 20 – 23, families will be treated to various impromptu performances by circus performers involved with the National Circus Project in the downtown area. This will help further entertain those who are taking part in tours of local galleries and artists’ studios, especially the children.

The Family Fun Fall Festival will take place at the Library Green Park on October 20 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. Activities for children aged 8-12 will include painting seasonal scenes on business windows and a mask-making workshop for younger children, all of which is to prepare for the rapidly approaching Halloween.

Another event that is in the pipeline is the Merchant’s Urchins Parade on October 27, beginning at 9:45 am. Everyone is welcome to take part in the parade, which will travel from New Street to Library Green Park. The parade will be followed by treats and pumpkin painting workshops.

For more information on any of these upcoming events, please call 654-2116.
