Food-rich fundraiser hosted by local adoption agency

Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. (FFTA) held its fifth annual event, providing food sampling and silent auction opportunities, at the Crawford Park Mansion in Rye Brook, just outside of New Rochelle, at the start of the month. No doubt the non-profit, which is a resource center for adoptions within New York and Connecticut, used flyer printing and poster printing to attract as many people as possible to the event and increase awareness of adoption issues and its aims as an organization.

According to Joy S. Goldstein, Executive Director of the FFTA, the evening was a great success and was made possible by the kindness of the local sponsors and the contributions made to the silent auction. Several restaurants in the area prepared gourmet dishes, while others provided the wine and beer and desserts. Fred A. Hudson, III, of South Carolina, entertained the attendees with music and the Mansion was gracefully adorned with stunning floral arrangements, also offered by two local florists.

The judge, Kathie E. Davidson, delivered an address in which she talked of the FFTA, its valuable work, and the progressive effect the agency has on groups that have been beneficiaries of its services.

Also shown at the event was a presentation highlighting some of the families formed as a result of the work of the FFTA, as well as the children still in foster homes waiting to be adopted, highlighting the need for finding homes for the more than 125,000 children still without them.
