People reading from Mt. Kisco and the surrounding area are in for a special treat this weekend, as local youth-led drama troupe Infinity Repertory Theatre Company is putting on its production of ‘Love… An Evening of One Act Plays’.
The night will feature a number of short vignettes by world renowned playwrights David Ives and Robert Patrick. All actors will be established members of the Infinity Company.
Established in 2003, Infinity Repertory Theatre Company is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. The remarkable organization is entirely run by local young people. From choosing performance material to planning productions, managing the budgets, and brochure printing, these young artists gain skills which are extremely useful later in life regardless of what profession they pursue. Each member of this unique company receives rigorous training and mentorship from adult advisors.
Past productions from this company have generated positive reviews from the surrounding community. The creative group of young people also performs classics from the theatrical cannon, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Odyssey, Hair, and Metamorphosis.
By seeing this production put on by an extraordinary group this weekend, guests will be supporting the next generation of preforming stars. Shows will be performed this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (February 8-10). Tickets for the evening are $12 with concessionary prices available for seniors and those with a student ID. Tickets can be ordered online or by calling the company’s office in Mt. Kisco. As always, there are no refunds, substitutions, or exchanges available for ticket purchases.
