Local event is sure to warm some hearts

This weekend, the Merrick based Robbie Levine Foundation is sure to be in the spotlight as it hosts its annual ‘Dealing With Hearts’ Gala.

The charity, set up in 2005, seeks to provide aid, equipment, and education about children’s risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The foundation’s ultimate goal is to ensure that an automatic defibrillator can be found anywhere where kids play sports.

The foundation was started by Jill and Craig Levine after they lost their own son due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest during a Little League game.

Held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York, this year’s event will be a casino-themed evening set to include a silent auction, games to play for prizes, an open bar, and a buffet dinner. As the event’s flyer printing campaign can already attest, the evening promises to be full of excitement.

For those interested in sponsorship opportunities, they are available, starting at a few hundred dollars and going up to one thousand. All sponsors will have their name posted on the table which they have helped to support, be listed on the Robbie Levine Foundation website, and also receive a ‘thank you’ plaque. Additionally, general admission to the event will cost $110 per person. All proceeds will go to support the foundation.

For more information about receiving last minute tickets to the event, becoming a sponsor, or about the charity itself, please visit the foundation’s website. Additional donations are always accepted.
