Melville Chamber of Commerce offers educational and networking opportunities

Local business experts can ensure that their business card printing is up-to-date and plan to attend one or more of the upcoming events sponsored by the Melville Chamber of Commerce.

On Thursday, October 18, the Business Breakfast Series will present ‘Your Social Media Managed’. The meeting will be held from 8:30 am – 10:00 am at the Catapano Engineering Assembly Hall/Melville Chamber Headquarters. MRL Social Media, Inc. will give the presentation and a light breakfast, sponsored by Gemini Fine Food East, will be served. The event is free for members and $30 for all other guests. Pre-registration is required.

‘We mean business’ is the theme of the Chamber’s Business Expo 2012. Running from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, the business-to-business expo will showcase new products and services, and provide networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees. The event takes place at the Melville Marriott. Fees for exhibitor tables start at $350 for chamber members and $600 for non-members. Admission to the Expo is free of charge.

The Chamber’s Young Professionals Group (YPG) is the focus of the President’s Lunch and Roundtable, which takes place every two months. This event is held at Jewel Restaurant in Melville at a cost of $35. Attendance is limited and open only to Chamber/YPG members and pre-registration is required. The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 30, from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm.

Chamber membership is presently approximately 300 businesses. It was incorporated in 2002 as the Melville-East Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce.
