Animal rescue group to hold trio of November events
November 5, 2013 by James
Last Hope Animal Rescue will be holding a LOL Comedy Night on tomorrow at the Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown, which is a short drive from Massapequa Park. No doubt the rescue group is using poster printing and flyer printing to let people in the community become aware of this event, which raises funds for the rehabilitation and rescue of stray and abandoned animals.
The price of tickets includes a buffet dinner and dessert, coffee and tea, and complimentary soft drinks, as well as the show itself with performances by the likes of Chris Monty and Joe Starr. There will also be a cash bar, a 50/50, and a large selection of raffles for gift baskets.
Doors open at 6:30 pm, and organizers are requested that everyone arrives by 7:00 pm.
Another event the team will be holding this month to raise funds for its programs is a Live Auction on the evening of Saturday, November 16, at St. Bede’s Church in Syosset. Admission is free and the event will feature auctions and a mini flea market.
Finally, on Sunday, November 24th, Last Hope will hold a spay and neuter clinic for feral cats. Cats need to be brought in traps and will be guided through the process, beginning with anesthesia through surgery and other areas of treatment. Cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated for feline distemper and rabies, treated for ear mites and fleas, and given pain medications. Donations of unexpired and unopened cat food will also be accepted at this event.
