Nassau County gets crafty

Nassau County Craft Shows will be hosting its 6th Annual Craft and Gift show in Carle Place, New York this weekend.

Organizers of the show are known for finding the best artisans and vendors of handmade crafts. They even boldly claim that they would rather have empty booths at their shows than allow a sub-par vendor to attend.

The yearly celebration began in 2008, and its events have been very successful over the last five years, becoming known as places where Long Island residents can find the highest quality handmade goods. This year, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, some of the income from vendor rentals will be given to a charity called Kiwanis – a non-profit dedicated to helping children.

The event will be held at Eisenhower Field Park 8 and is free to attend. It runs from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on both Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, March 14. Organizers for the event may well turn to printing companies to create promotional materials for them so that they can advertise for the event in nearby towns like Garden City, New Hyde Park, and Manhasset.

The vendors may also look to business card printing companies, since they will probably want to give cards to the organizers so that they can be involved in future craft shows. They will also no doubt want to hand out cards to any guests who like their work in the hopes of establishing a relationship with them and generating repeat business in the future.
