All white at fundraising night

This Friday, July 27, Spectrum Designs Foundation will be holding its “Night in White Summer Soiree” at the Shelter Rock Tennis Club in Manhasset. This is the second annual staging of the event and has been organized to raise funds for the Foundation, which is a not-for-profit T-shirt design company that employs adolescents and young-adults with autism. Currently, the company employs 15 workers with autism and similar disabilities, several of whom will be on hand at the event.
The event will feature food, drinks, fundraising auctions, dancing, and live music provided by The Mystic. Bea Huste-Petersen and her EJ Autism Foundation will also be honored during the evening. The EJ Autism Foundation raises awareness of autism and funds for charities that support those who are affected by the condition through fundraisers, walks, and marathons. The Spectrum Designs Foundation has been a beneficiary of this support.
The soiree will run from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm and guests are asked to wear white as a reflection of the positive outlook for the Foundation. Tickets are $150 but they are also tax deductible, as Spectrum Designs is a non-profit. Attendees can also sign up for a variety of sponsorships to help fund the food and entertainment at the event.
There is little doubt that local printing businesses will be hard at work creating flyers to promote awareness of this event. They may also be asked to create informational brochures so that attendees can be further informed of the actions taken by Spectrum Designs and The EJ Autism Foundation.
