A Redneck wedding on Long Island
October 20, 2012 by Sarah
A lot of people like the idea of a murder mystery adventure and one involving a redneck wedding is certainly an original idea. Knock ’em Dead Comedy will be putting on a murder mystery dinner show entitled ‘Dieing to Get Hitched [sic] …A Redneck Wedding’. A ‘murder’ will take place at some point during the dinner, and then actors will move around the tables dropping clues for the guests to help them solve the case.
Knock ’em Dead Comedy is a traveling comedy troupe based in Long Island. Known for its interactive comedy experiences, the troupe is often hired for things like fundraisers, corporate team building events, birthdays, or holiday parties. It primarily performs murder mystery skits that involve audience participation, though they also do other forms of comedy skits.
The upcoming dinner event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma, New York on Saturday, October 27 and runs from 7:00 pm until 11:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in costume, though it is not mandatory. It is also suggested that anyone who wants to attend should make reservations beforehand, as the space only holds 125 people and these events have been known to sellout. There is a $44 group rate. Otherwise, admission costs $49 in advance or $55 at the door.
Organizers may want printing companies to create promotional materials for this event to make sure that it fills up. They might choose to spread flyers in nearby areas like Sayville or Islip, but they may also want to draw in attendees from areas of Long Island that are slightly farther away, like Hicksville or Manhasset.
