Nassau County events could help Lynbrook’s seniors

The Nassau County Bar Association’s Free Legal Consultation Clinic for Seniors is being offered next week. Helping older citizens of Lynbrook and the surrounding areas get their legal particulars in order, these helpful sessions are always popular.

With the start of the year, all across Lynbrook, households, individuals and businesses of all sizes will be tackling certain projects. Whether it is sorting junk, taking on new skills, or freshening up advertising, this is bound to be the case. Items such as rewriting a will, updating the mortgage, or a host of other legal matters are often on this agenda, so the session could not come at a better time.

Anyone age 65 or over can make use of the sessions, which comprise a 30-minute private consultation on any matter. The next event will take place at the NCBA offices in Mineola on Wednesday, January 16.

Leaflet and poster printing has also taken place to advertise other upcoming events for seniors too, with Nassau County running a host of programs through 2013.

Running right now is the popular Stretch & Flex program being held at the Freeport Senior Community Service Center. The Bay City Ramblers are also hosting a number of events,

Towards the end of the month, the Freeport Senior Community Service Center is also presenting an Island Cruise Themed Party, which will offer something completely different.

With painting sessions, yoga programs, organic food drives, and numerous health drives too, 2013 looks like being a year during which Lynbrook’s seniors could really get themselves in shape financially, mentally, and physically.
