Libraries offering free summer programs this month

The Lynbrook Public Library and the Malverne Public Library are both doing their part to ensure that younger residents have something to do in the month of July.
As a starting point, movie-lovers are in for a treat with the Lynbrook Public Library hosting “Movies at the Library” on July 17, 24, and 31. Extending into August as well, members of the community have the option of coming out to watch movies every week this summer. Starting at 2:30 pm with doors expected to open roughly 15 minutes ahead of time, this free event is open to people of all ages. If nothing else, it presents an excellent opportunity to leave the house and help the kids burn off a bit of excess energy.
Similarly, the Malverne Public Library is also providing children with fun activities to do this summer through its ‘Craft Days!’ program. Following a slightly different schedule from its Lynbrook counterpart, Patch.com has the remaining July dates listed as July 17 and 23. Beginning in the morning at 10:00 am and continuing up until 4:00 pm, the beauty of ‘Craft Days!’ is that no registration is required. With kids being encouraged to stop by throughout the day and the program also being offered free of charge, these are dates to consider circling on the calendar.
Between these two libraries, residents have at least a couple of events to look forward to in July. Although printing services like flyer printing and poster printing have probably already been used to inform people, it never hurts to get a friendly reminder.
