Comic Con crashes back to New York

October 2, 2013 by

Comic Con will pay its annual visit to New York City next week, as genre enthusiasts from all over the New York area take up a chance to witness panels featuring some of their favorite celebrities. The convention features some of the biggest names in comic books, video games, novels, television, and film.

This year, one of the big draws is the cast of AMC’s hit show ‘The Walking Dead’. The cast of MTV’s Teen Wolf will also be holding a panel on the convention’s main stage. Finally, legendary actors Patrick Stewart and David Duchovny will be in attendance as well, so there will be something for fans of shows like Star Trek and The X-Files to look forward to as well.

It is possible that organizers for New York Comic Con will turn to printing companies to help them advertise for the event. Distributing flyers in different neighborhoods in the city, like Williamsburg or Long Island City , might attract a different demographic to television or radio ads, due to many of the potential attendees’ fondness for printed formats like comic books.

The convention runs from October 10 until Sunday, October 13. However, currently only tickets for Thursday are still available, and they are priced at $30. Thursday ticket holders will be able to attend the convention kickoff Comedy Mutant, a comedy show featuring Myq Kaplan, Brian Posehn, Mike Drucker, and Janeane Garofalo, and they are urged to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
