Sporting chance to raise money this weekend
November 1, 2013 by Max
At the Fall Craft Fair and Bazaar, hosted by the Liverpool High School Girls’ Volleyball Team this weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to both celebrate the holidays and help out those in need.
There will be a range of vendors on hand to sell high quality craft goods, a raffle will offer participants the chance to win prizes, and there will be several food options available as well.
During the course of the fair, the girls’ senior volleyball team will be present to collect donations and fabric from attendees. These resources will help the team make blankets, which will then be given to the patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The event is an ideal opportunity to get some early holiday shopping done and donate to a great cause.
Golisano Children’s Hospital is a branch of the University of Rochester Medical Center. It provides medical attention to children and teens for a variety of conditions with which they may need assistance.
Members of the volleyball team, or other promoters for the event, may turn to printing companies to help with the advertising for it. Handing out flyers to students or putting up posters around the school is one way to remind other members of the student body to attend. The administration may also want to send postcards to parents, or mention the event in their regular pamphlets and brochures, to remind them to participate.
The craft fair takes place tomorrow, November 2, running from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. It is free to attend.
