Golden weekend of activities on its way

This weekend will see the Golden Harvest Festival held for its 36th year. The event features a variety of entertainers and performers, activities, craft and food vendors, and even contests for attendees to compete in.

The festival takes place at the Beaver Lake Nature Center in Baldwinsville, New York, which is only a short drive away from Syracuse and Liverpool.

The performers for the weekend range from singers and bands to a puppet show and even a magician. They include Amanda Rodgers, the Catskill Puppet Theater, The Magic of Virgil, and the Westcott Jugsuckers. The performance stages will also host a variety of contests including a pie eating competition, apple pie throwdown, wild critter call, and a living scarecrow costume contest.

Throughout both days there will be a myriad of activities being held in the park. Some of them are free, like a dairy goat exhibit and the chance to go canoeing, while others carry additional fees, like the hayrides and a petting zoo.

Organizers for this festival may turn to printing companies in order to promote it. Flyers, posters, and postcards are great ways to advertise for an event and help promoters to draw in bigger crowds.

The festival runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm this Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on Sunday. There is a $5 admission fee for adults, and a $1 admission fee for children between the ages of 6 and 17. Any child under the age of five may enter free of charge.
