ATOS Trio on the way to Syracuse

March 1, 2013 by

Tomorrow evening, the Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music (SFCM) will be hosting the ATOS Trio.

The ATOS Trio is a piano trio from Berlin that is currently on tour in the United States. The group is critically acclaimed and has won the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Piano Trio Award. It has performed in major venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

At the SFCM performance, the trio will be performing an all-French program featuring five pieces: Trio in G Major by Claude Debussy, Trio No. 2 in A minor, Op. 34 by Cecile Chaminade, Trio in D Major, Op. 120 by Gabriel Fauré, D’un matin de printemps by Lili Boulanger, and Trio in D major by Jean Françaix.

The concert will be held at the Lincoln Middle School in Syracuse, New York. General admission is $20 with $15 tickets available for seniors and $10 tickets available for students. The show will begin at 7:30 pm.

SFCM may turn to print companies in order to get word out about this performance. Being able to book such a prestigious group is a real coup, and the SFCM will surely want to sell out the venue. Print companies could create flyers to be distributed in Syracuse and other nearby towns like Fayetteville or Liverpool. SFCM may also want print companies to create programs for attendees of the show. Guests will likely want to keep the programs as a memento of seeing the piano trio.
