Fall fair reaches double figures
October 6, 2012 by James
St. Thomas of Canterbury Church will be holding its 10th annual Fall Festival and Crafts Fair next weekend. Established in 1958, the Church is a well-known fixture in the smithtown, New York area.
The fair features more than 80 vendors selling crafts and merchandise. There will also be food vendors with homemade foods like pies, cakes, breads, soups, and other food platters. For those with children, there will be an activity area to provide distractions the like craft-making, pumpkin-carving, and scarecrow-making. A haunted house will be provided as well for further entertainment.
Banner printing companies may well be called on by the vendors to create attractive and noticeable banners that advertise their booths. Vendors will also probably want printing services to create business cards and informational brochures to be given to customers.
Creating flyers to promote the event will also be important, as the Church will want people to attend, to purchase goods from the vendors, and to make donations to the food pantry and other programs.
The Church is located in Smithtown on Long Island, only a short drive from Lindenhurst. It runs next Saturday, October 13, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. With all of the vendors and activities, it should be fun for the whole family. There is no entry fee for participating either, although the organizers do ask that attendees bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry, and any monetary donations will no doubt be welcomed.
