Freeport show set to uncover some gems

It is not long now until the Freeport Recreation Center hosts the Kaleidoscope Gem Show. The event will feature an abundance of vendors selling rare stones and jewelry.

Fossils, meteorites, gems, minerals, silver, and gold are just some of the things shoppers will be able to find. Vendors and craftsmen who specialize in handmade jewelry will also be on hand selling their wares. Finally, these events are known for the widest variety of beads and bead jewelry in the region.

The Freeport Recreation Center funds and produces programs designed to support both children and the elderly. They hold annual fundraiser shows of this nature, and the theme is usually products that come from the Earth. There are usually over 20 vendors at the shows, some of whom have been attending them for more than 20 years.

Organizers and promoters for this event my reach out to printing companies to help advertise it. Placing flyers in Freeport and nearby cities like Levittown will help to get the word out, while vendors might take an interest in informational brochure or catalog printing services in the area.

Admission for the event is $5.50, or $5.00 for mentioning the online advertisement to the cashier. Children under 12 are free if they are accompanied by an adult. This is a fundraiser event, and all of the money made from admission fees will go towards supporting the Freeport Recreation Center. The event runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on both Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25.
