Fighting fit September ahead in East Meadow

Later this month, Fit & Healthy Mamas will be hosting its second annual 5K run and walk. The event is open to any female runner over the age of 12.

Those who are competitive can come and hone their skills, while those who are more leisurely can simply enjoy the run. People who are more interested in jogging or walking are welcome as well, with the emphasis more on being outside, getting active, and having fun.

Fit & Healthy Mamas was founded by a health coach and mother named Melissa, who believes that fitness is an important part of life. The 5K events her organization holds are meant to promote healthy and active living among women, particularly mothers, who are often beset with busy schedules and find it hard to make time for exercise.

The organization may want to turn to printing companies to help promote this event by having them print flyers or posters for advertising. They may also turn to catalog or brochure printing companies to create informational packets to be handed out to attendees. These catalogs might detail different diets and activities to help someone live a healthier life.

The race will take place at the Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York, which is only a short drive away from Levittown. Scheduled for Saturday, September 21, it will begin at 8:30 am no matter the weather. There is a $25 fee to pre-register, and a $30 fee for late registration or registration on the day of the race.
