Upcoming fair has dual benefits

Since the holidays are a time of gift giving and celebration but also of giving back, an upcoming event is allowing locals to do both.
With more than 40 vendors on hand, the Holiday Shopping Fair and Fundraiser will offer a place to buy gifts for friends and family. There will also be a raffle in which guests can participate with a chance to win gift baskets, certificates, and other prizes.
Money raised through the raffle and other donations will be given to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation; a non-profit organization that works to provide toys and equipment for children in hospitals and care centers. It also provides financial aid to help with the cost of procedures for underprivileged families. The fair and fundraiser event is being hosted by Platinum Party Servers, an event-planning company founded in 2012 by Tracy Koenig.
Platinum will likely reach out to printing companies to help with the advertising for this event. Posters and flyers can make very cost-effective advertising materials. The John Theissen Children’s Foundation may also contact brochure printers and flyer printing companies so that they can be prepared for this event with informational brochures and pamphlets that will tell guests about their mission and different services.
The event is on Sunday, November 17, and runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. It is free to attend and will take place at the Bellemore Knights of Columbus in Bellemore, New York, a short drive from towns like Freeport and Island Park on Long Island.
