Long Beach Chamber to have first 2012 meeting

January 14, 2012 by

The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce is holding its monthly meeting January 25th at 7:00 pm.

Just over 1 mile away from Island Park, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce will be holding its regular meeting of the month. While the selection of Avenue Café for the venue should be a sign that there will be plenty of time for networking and the exchange of business card printing , the agenda appears to be mostly booked so far.

Since this is the first meet-up of 2012 however, it’s to be expected that there would be a lot to cover in this event. Starting with the installation of the Board and moving towards the presentation of Scott Mandel, City Councilman, the Long Beach Chamber is explaining this meeting as follows:

“…Our Key Note Speaker will be the Superintendant of the Long Beach City School District, Mr. David Weiss who will give us an update on the projects and programs going on around the schools.

Merchant of the Month will be awarded to Eric Berkowitz of Tutti Frutti located at 28 West Park Avenue in Long Beach.

Professional of the Month will be bestowed upon Mark Tannenbaum, CLTC, LUTCF, Financial Coach with NRL Wealth Creations Strategies.

The Chamber of commerce will be honoring athletes from the Girls Swim Team who have qualified for the State Swim Meet in Buffalo, Cady Zawatson, Kellie Cannon and Emma Harris.”

When the welcoming of new chamber members is also taken into account, the fullness of the schedule becomes even more obvious.
