Dutchess County Regional Chamber is simplifying things for businesses

Hyde Park business owners are in luck with the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce hosting at least two interesting events in the upcoming days.
On February 21st the 6th “Leadership Dutchess Session” will be taking place in an all-day seminar that’s expected to go from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. In this quote taken from the Chamber website, this interactive workshop is being summed up this way:
“In both personal and professional relationships, “communication” is noted as a key indicator of success of failure. Leaders of today recognize that effective communication is not automatic, but is instead an area that can be studied, practiced, and improved.
This session will provide both theory and practice around the arbitrary nature of language, as well as the vital relationship between verbal and non-verbal communication. The session will also help prepare participants to interact publicaly on behalf on an organization and the class will find out tips from local “PR Pros” on dealing with the media.” (sic.)
With the communication workshop taking place in Poughkeepsie, this is a trip that Hyde Park-based professionals can attend.
The other event being held by the chamber is really a networking opportunity through Business After Hours. Taking place once every month, members are invited to arrive and enjoy some light refreshments and a sneak peek at the “Adams’ Annual Lawn and Garden Show”. As is par for the course with these Business After Hours meet-ups, a little bit of business card printing can go a long way.
